Kev Powe Sr, Guitarist of 50 years, has performed with an array of National Performing Artists, such as Marcus Miller, Meli'sa Morgan, Natalie Cole, Terence Blanchard, Mikki Howard, Kevin Whalum, Lynne Fiddmont, Cindy Bailey, Oli Silk, Al Turner, Julian Vaughn, just to name a few.
Kev Powe Sr studied Music on the streets of Baltimore,MD from local musicians, basement bands, as well as, music teachers such as Dr Thomas Delane, Ronald Kearns and Morris Dow. He also attended Peabody Conservatory and The Baltimore Cultural Arts Program for Music.
Kev's major Musical influences includes the legendary Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Albert King, The Ohio Players, Sly and the Family Stone, The Isley Brothers and Parliament Funkadelic, etc...
His music covers many genres, including Funk, Rock, Blues, Jazz and R&B. "Loud Blues" is his first major project with his own band, Kev Powe Thang. He has 3 Original Compositions on the Phaze II Jazz Band CD "No Cover Charge".
